We did some 150 Moonbounce QSOs in some 2.5 Moonpasses in moderate EME Conditions on 2M as well as on 432

Hi all.. We are back safe.. After a vy lucky entry to 7X we buid up fast but found out that noise was +10db up to 20 degrees elevation...sorry for all the callers but that time it was vy hard and we cut only rx vertical because lower noise.. Anyway were was able to work some 150 different stations via eme and ms... The trip back was a disaster..our flight did`nt goe because of big snowstorms over Germany...so we needed to find out a way to get out.. Many discussions and trouble about amplifire and it was vy hard to get the setup out but finaly it worked We took a flight Monday evening to Paris. No connection back to DL. So we need to stay over night in Paris. Thursday morning we found a flight back to Düsseldorf and after some 1500 Euros more coasts we were able to be back home.

Short Trip to Denmark in Summer 2007 to Romo Island..Conditions was vy simpel..just a FT857D and a 3 Element yagie ..made arround 200 6m Qsos..



5A7A Lybia 2006 EME/WSJT Expedition

After the last EME Expeditions by myself i tried to join a big group
to run Moonbounce and Meteorscatter from 5A7A Lybia via the Moon...
5A was a really wanted dxcc. And well, we made many firsts and even ever EME
qsos from this country..
All VHF setup was tested before in my garden and worked well...
Antennas was homemade..for 6M a 6 Element DK7ZB and for 2 and 70cm a 1
Boomyagie..27 element for 432 on h pol and 12 element on V pol for 144...Even the
Boom was easy to turn in polarity so i could change h and v pol easily..
Trx was 2+857d and on every band 1kw and preamps..
So after we had the permission to start to build up the setup i was ready on
16/11 to try first time via eme...just a quick cq and pileup
started....yes you read right..pileup via the Moon..
Main problem was that only the first 4 days were ok for EME so i tried to do my best..
First Station from the USA was W5UN...anyway i made a total of 76 EME qsos
and arround 250 on Meterscatter during the first week..so all was running
really good..sorry that there was no more eme activity after i left in the last
week ..dont know what happend..
6m W7GJ worked via the Moon..also W1JJ and SM7BAE where copyed on 6m EME..
432 was a desaster..i spent more than 8 hours in CQ, but only 2 Stations
worked..DL9KR and HB9Q with big signs...K2UYH was heard ...
Anyway it was a great time to meet all the people...we had much fun in
Lybia and well..the Team was really great....all did a great job. Full storys about
people and HF activity can be read on the 5A7A webpage..so if anyone out
there going on a expedition..think about to run 2M EME....you need just 20kg
bagged more..single yagie and 400w can do...and many first and ever made qsos
can be done via the Moon..

3V8SS EME/MS Expedition 2005

Here a litle Story about 3V8SS:
On the first day i couldn't get the Key for the Station, sorry for that...
so startet on the second day arround 08:00 to build up the Rig...
all was running ok and i was Qrv on Moonrise.
All together i worked 48 EME Sations in 2 Moonsets and 2 Moonrises and 160 on MS FSK..
At the customers i was realy lucky and they didn't control the bagged..
The antenna was in a box for beachtents so they just looked at it and i coud pass..
Thanks to everyone who called me ..pileup was great and sorry for the G Stations but something happed to them..
I was Cqing many times to G but only 2 of them worked..G4FUF and G4YTL...
For EME i have to say thanks for those who know to work split..
I could have worked much more but many times few stations calling direct on my TX QRG special in the W-Window..
I think maybe 10 to 15 direct on 105..big mess..
So next time:If you call a Expedition try to call him up on his QRG...
If not: there is no chance in JT65B to freeze or get the right calls..

I had a great time with great people in OJ0...
Because of so much HF in the air i had some problems with
the timesync in my notebook. But anyway, i made some qsos on 144 cw
EME and also one on 432 EME with DL9KR..

MS was realy good with around 100 Qsos and a few tropo ones.
On 6m we made a few hundred but only around europe
Well, many thanks to Seppo who made it possible
and all the others who helped me!

Also a big thanks to ON4IQ and ON4GG for doing Qsl management for me..

Island of Ascension. The trip takes place between the 08.08 and the
14/08/2001. It was a really nice time down their with very very nice people and a
friendship witch I will never forget. I have had only 1 opening on 6M for
around 90 min and worked 126 Stations...not to bad...
Because the wind was really strong I lost my 2m EME System, but was able to
build from the rest 1 17 ele Yagie and worked

U1AA;VE3KH;G3ZIG and OZ1HNE..quit ok for a single F9FT with hand elevation and
550w in just 6 hours I think...

Last VHF operations from Tunisia dates back to 1979....3V8ONU
So in the beginning of 1996 I planned to go to Tunesia for a VHF activity, main aim on 2M EME.
After I searched a bit around, I found 2 very nice friends, who were very
interested to be their with me...Maik DJ2QV and Heiko DK3DM......
Operation was made from 06.07 to 18.07.1996.We made around 600 contacts on 2
meters,35 on 70 centimeters and 10 via the moon.
It was a very nice time with a big friendship and very lovely persons in Tunesia.
We also had some big problems with the custom officers and so on, but
anyway we learned much about them...
So I will say thanks to everybody who helped us that things are going better!

SV5/DH8YHR was a trip between the 18.06 and the 30.06.1995
I was QRV mainly on satellite AO10/13...it was great fun and many
countries were worked like ZL,JA,VK,VU,HM,VS,V29,ZF,W,VE,KP4,PJ2,PT,J3,ZP,YI,LU,J8,4S7,ZS
and all Europe..but also on 144 and 432 MHZ direct it was really nice to work every day with
9H,IT9,TA,OD and so on..it must be really nice to live near saltwater..DX on
vhf is normally every day around the 2000 km....
Anyway I will say thank you to SV5RW..we had a few very nice
hours on the island witch I will always remember...
